At top: reconstruction of stucco sculptures on North Substructure Tiers, Palace. Each tier displays a large human (perhaps K'an Joy Chitam II) or Maize God face flanked by a two-headed serpent. From the open jaws of each serpent emerges the head of K'awiil. At bottom: earflare assemblage from lower east mask on Structure 5C-2nd, Cerros, Belize.
